What is an E-Collar?

An e-collar, sometimes called a remote collar, is a tool used to transmit Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) to deliver a stimulation to the neck muscles. This causes the neck muscles to tingle, or at higher levels, to contract. This is NOT the same as a “shock collar” which typically only has 3-5 levels of painful static shocks. We use e-collars from E-Collar Technologies; each unit has at least 100 levels of stimulation. The correct usage of an e collar yield amazing outcomes for you and your dog.

What do I need to bring?

Just your dog's food and a flat buckle collar.

Will I get to come visit my dog during training?

Yes, after the first week I allow structured walks with me and your dog. It is an opportunity to start transferring the respect from trainer to owner.

Crate training is a vital tool when working with your dog. It creates a clear boundary for your dog and gives them a place that is their own.

Where does my dog stay?

Primal Mountain K9 is a home-based business. Your dog will board with my family and me, which helps them learn appropriate behavior in real-life home situations.
